County in Guizhou uses folk songs to resolve family disputes

Folk songs are being used to resolve family disputes in Rongjiang county, Guizhou province.

The local court has hired folk song enthusiast Jiang Zuoxian as one of its mediators. She has written numerous songs using simple language and everyday wisdom to help resolve disputes.

"My family has sung folk songs for generations, and singing to promote family harmony has long been a tradition in our village," Jiang said.
