Xiangjiang River Battle spirit fuels rural vitalization in Quanzhou, Guangxi
More than 90 years ago, during the Long March, the Central Red Army fought a desperate battle against Kuomintang troops along the Xiangjiang River. At tremendous cost, the army broke through the enemy's fourth blockade line and preserved the revolutionary spark.
The Xiangjiang River Battle forged a spirit of daring to win and daring to break through. Today, Nanyi village in Quanzhou county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has taken up this spiritual torch.
Quanzhou county is one of the sites of the Xiangjiang River Battle. Wang Junrong, Party secretary of Nanyi village, returned to his hometown to lead efforts to develop the grape industry in Maozhushan village, which is administered by Nanyi. By improving grape varieties, extending the picking season, using livestreaming to sell grapes and attracting tourists, the village and its residents have greatly benefited.
As always, the revolutionary legacy has played a key role as a driving force on this new journey.
