Ziquejie Consensus 2026 on agricultural heritage protection presented at Hunan conference

Peng Yiling, head of Loudi's culture and tourism bureau, reported that big data and virtual reality had been applied in the protection of the terraces. Additionally, the administration of the Ziquejie Terraces Scenic Area had introduced rice field adoption programs and farming study tours.

From January to August this year, the scenic area welcomed nearly 500,000 visitors and generated 74.28 million yuan (roughly $11 million) in tourism revenue, Peng said.
