Ziquejie Consensus 2026 on agricultural heritage protection presented at Hunan conference

In his keynote address, Jeremie Mbairamadji, senior coordinator of the GIAHS Secretariat at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, noted that the three countries had promoted cooperation through regional symposiums, study visits, and twinning initiatives. "These efforts facilitated the exchange of conservation practices, supported joint research, promoted community and youth participation, and strengthened regional and global GIAHS networks," he said.

Min Qingwen, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, urged East Asian agricultural heritage sites to deepen their practical exploration and contribute replicable protection experiences to the global community.
