Chinese and Egyptian air forces to hold training exercise

The Chinese and Egyptian air forces will hold the Eagles of Civilization 2026 joint training exercise in Egypt from mid-August to early September, a Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman said Friday.
Chen Xi, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, said at an online news briefing that the training will focus on air combat tactics, air superiority operations and combat search and rescue, and will include force employment drills.
The second exercise of its kind, the training will further enhance mutual trust and the longstanding friendship between the Chinese and Egyptian militaries, deepen substantive military cooperation and contribute to regional peace and stability, Chen said.
