China Acrobatics Troupe debuts summer show at Beijing's Shougang Park

The China Acrobatics Troupe debuted a stunning performance on Wednesday at Shougang Park, a cultural and entertainment venue built from the former Shougang steel mill.

The performance, titled Beijing Core: Unbound, will be showcased at the park's Heju Theater throughout the summer, wrapping up in late October. It was produced in collaboration with Shougang Steel Group and Capital Culture Technology Group.

At a press conference on Wednesday, a series of policies were announced to boost local performances by bringing state-owned art troupes to grassroots communities and helping private troupes enhance their competitive edge.

The involvement of leading artists from the China Acrobatics Troupe exemplifies efforts to strengthen the presence of professional State-owned troupes.

Jiang Nan, vice-president of Shougang Steel Group, noted that the park offers a unique blend of industrial and Olympic heritage, providing an ideal cultural and entertainment experience for visitors. Shougang Park was a venue for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

He expects the collaboration with the China Acrobatics Troupe to invigorate Beijing's cultural and tourism market.

According to Dong Ning, vice-general manager of Capital Culture Technology Group, the partnership with Shougang Steel Group is aimed at enhancing the cultural sector and stimulating the city's cultural consumption. In addition to the acrobatics performance, Heju Theater will feature shows aimed at child audiences.
