The Zigong Dinosaur Museum in Sichuan province has completed a year-long renovation of its main exhibition hall and is set to reopen in late July.
Built on the Dashanpu dinosaur fossil group site in Zigong, the museum is said to house one of the world's largest collections of fossils from the Jurassic period (199.6-145.5 million years ago).
The renovation has upgraded the museum's exhibition system, building functions, security facilities, and cultural tourism services, while preserving its classic architectural appearance, museum staff said.
