The School of Journalism at Fudan University has announced the second "Fusion" Global College Students' Intelligent Imaging Creation Competition, inviting young creators worldwide to explore human-Al co-creation paradigms, and the infinite possibilities of Al in audiovisual storytelling through the integration of technological innovation and artistic expression.

The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students at universities globally, as well as outstanding creators who have graduated within the past year. It centers on content production, innovative applications, and the ethical regulations of intelligent imaging.

Five main tracks have been established for the competition. These include the creative expression of urban image, which invites creators to capture the humanistic qualities, public memories and evolving lifestyles shaped by a city's development; future presentation of science fiction imagination, which calls for bold visions of future worlds and the complex relationship between technology and human civilization; and human condition under technological impact, which asks creators to examine how AI is reshaping production, daily life and social structures, and to prompt reflection on human-machine boundaries and ethical order.

All entries must be uploaded to the competition portal by Sept 20 (https://xwxy.fudan.edu.cn/qqdxsznyxczds/list.htm). The top entry in each track will receive an award with a pre-tax prize of 20,000 yuan ($2,960).

The competition builds on last year's inaugural edition, which brought together young creators from universities worldwide and established a platform for exchange and industry-academia collaboration in intelligent imaging.

This year's event aims to broaden participation, enrich activities, and enhance international reach. Aiming to gather young creative talent and high-quality industry resources, the competition is intended to promote cross-disciplinary synergy and deep integration of technological change, talent cultivation, and research application.
