Dragon boat races in Changsha light up early festive spirit

A dragon boat tournament took place over the weekend in Changsha, the capital of Central China's Hunan province, bringing together 28 teams from across the country as a lively prelude to the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 19 this year.

After intense competition at Qianlong Lake in the city's Wangcheng district on Saturday, 10 teams advanced to the finals of the 2026 Hunan Dragon Boat Super League, scheduled for June 18-19 in Yueyang, Hunan.
