China to promote high-quality development in human resources services
China will intensify efforts to promote high-quality development in the human resources services industry, a key driver for building a modern industrial system.
From Friday to Saturday, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security is organizing the third national human resources services industry development conference in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province. The event provides a platform for human resources agencies and companies to connect and match employers' talent needs.
Zhang Wenmiao, director of the ministry's human resources flow management department, said at a news conference in Wuhan on Thursday that human resources is the first and most important resource for the nation's socioeconomic development.
"The nation's human resources services industry has experienced fast but healthy growth in recent years. So far, there are over 70,000 human resources agencies with more than 1 million people working in the industry," he said. During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), the industry has offered 300 million times of services on employment, job consultancy, and talent flow management services each year, along with 50 million professional supports and consultancies for domestic employers annually.
Previously, in 2021 and 2023, the ministry held such conferences in Chongqing and South China's Guangdong province's Shenzhen, showcasing the nation's experiences in stabilizing employment and the achievements of the human resources services industry.
