On Tuesday morning, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport initiated a yellow alert for widespread flight delays. Due to severe weather conditions, airlines had canceled 50 passenger flights to and from Shenzhen on Monday, with 23 departures and 27 arrivals affected.
Based on the weather forecasts, flight delays at the Shenzhen airport were expected to worsen throughout the day, with increased uncertainty over departure times.
On the railways, meanwhile, safety control measures including the suspension of operations and speed restrictions have been implemented in areas significantly affected by rainfall.
For areas where rainfall is gradually decreasing, trains will resume operations, according to China Railway Guangzhou Group.
