Flights from Guangzhou and Shenzhen impacted by heavy rainfall

Airports in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Guangdong province, experienced widespread delays on Tuesday due to prolonged heavy rainfall, while some trains have also been suspended.
As of 2:29 pm on Tuesday, 120 delayed outbound passenger flights were waiting to depart from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, according to the airport authority.
Due to the widespread flight delays, the emergency response level for flight operations has been upgraded to orange at the Guangzhou-based airport.
