Musical film makes international impact

The Love in Yanbian, a musical film originally created to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, has gained international recognition, winning awards and earning nominations at multiple events.

Starring actor Yu Rongguang and actress Sun Danzhi, the film blends legend, history, and stunning landscapes to highlight the customs and scenery of Yanbian. More than 100 crew members spent a month filming across the prefecture, visiting more than 100 tourist sites — including Changbai Mountain and Tianchi Lake — to capture its picturesque beauty.

The film won the best music video awards at three events: the London Independent Film Awards, the Rome International Movie Awards, and the 11th American International Independent Film Awards. It also received nominations at various other festivals, including the LA Shorts International Film Festival and the Best Shorts Competition, both held in the United States.
