US singer Kinstler praises global music exchange on Singer 2025

Grace Kinstler, a contestant on the hit singing competition television series Singer 2025, expressed gratitude for the amazing, loving, and kind reception from Chinese fans during her nearly month-long stay in China.
Reflecting on her experience on the show, Kinstler pinpointed the enthusiastic fan response as her biggest takeaway, noting an "amazing energy" she'd never experienced before. A memorable moment was her first outing after a show, where the unexpected level of excitement and kindness from fans was a happy surprise.
The series began broadcasting on Hunan Satellite TV and Mango TV on May 16. It generated massive interest thanks to having a mix of live performances from Chinese and international singers.
Kinstler, who is from the United States, stated she feels happy and proud of her performances on Singer 2025. She emphasized trying new things and engaging the audience more deeply with each performance, a strategy she plans to continue.
The show, she said, has "surpassed" her expectations. Entering a competition in a completely new country, she was deeply impressed by her reception and the opportunity to learn about Chinese culture through her fellow singers and its impact on their music. She described the production quality as fantastic.
Kinstler wholeheartedly agreed that music knows no boundaries, calling it "the only way to connect with people who don't know your language". She cited the show as a perfect example, explaining that despite language barriers, she felt connected to the audience during performances.
She believes the show is unique and wonderful in promoting international musical exchange, celebrating global music in a way she hasn't seen in the United States.
Kinstler called the Chinese contestants fantastic, highlighting their strength, uniqueness, and security in their artistry. She noted everyone brings "something very different to the table", an experience new to her in a competition setting.
When asked about comparisons to fellow contestant Shan Yichun due to their similar age, Kinstler acknowledged comparisons happen but stressed they are "so different" in artistry and voice. She expressed genuine enjoyment watching Shan be her wonderful, beautiful self, firmly stating that comparing them is like "comparing apples to oranges; you can't do it".
For upcoming episodes, Kinstler told audiences to expect versatility. She plans to switch it up, try new things, and continue working to engage with the audience.
Kinstler admitted being surprised by her warm reception from Chinese fans and audiences, explaining you "never know what it's gonna be like walking in" to a new place like Changsha. She expressed feeling so grateful for the love received and emphasized she is "sending it all right back to everyone".
