10,000 students, parents visit SUAT on its first campus open day

Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, a new higher education institution in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, that began enrollment last year, welcomed its first campus open day of the year on Sunday.

On the day of the event, nearly 10,000 students and parents visited the campus. Through guided tours, interactive experiences, and other activities, they gained a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the university's academic strengths, curriculum, educational model and faculty expertise, while also appreciating its beautiful campus environment. Additionally, over 200,000 people joined a livestream tour of the university online.

Fan Jianping, president of the university, elaborated on the university's educational philosophy, discipline development and future plans. He noted that it is a public undergraduate institution established with high standards, aiming to become a new type of research university.

Drawing inspiration from world-class polytechnic universities, SUAT emphasizes the integration of science and education with industry collaboration.
