Over 75,000 China-Europe freight trains transported goods worth $340b
In a significant milestone for international trade, data released by the National Development and Reform Commission reveals that over the past decade, a staggering 77,000 China-Europe freight trains have been in operation.
The NDRC released the latest data at the China-Europe Freight Train International Cooperation Forum held in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, on Friday.
These trains have transported an impressive 7.31 million TEUs of goods, with a total estimated value exceeding $340 billion. This extensive transportation network has connected 217 cities in 25 European countries, solidifying its role as a vital bridge for international economic and trade cooperation.
The data also underscores the pivotal role played by China-Europe freight trains in fostering global commerce and strengthening international ties over the past decade.
