The fifth edition of the Life Festival took place from May 13 to 14 in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
The festival was hosted by Beijing Shifangyuan Foundation’s Life Art Education Fund, and co-hosted by Mingde Foundation of Suzhou Good-Ark Electronics.
Around 100 experts, scholars, philanthropists, artists and entrepreneurs from home and abroad participated in the event.
This year the festival was themed “reborn”, serving as a reflection and introspection of the past as well as a symbol of courage and hope for the future.
Founder of the festival and head of the Life Art Education Fund, Yang Ping, in her speech at the opening ceremony stressed the significance and value of humans and advocated making the most of each day.
“Life art is a genuine and empowering attitude toward everyday life and a philosophical contemplation that delves inward,” Yang said.
“Life Festival will continue to focus on life art, as well as fields including education, economy and women.”
Comprising two main chapters of “virtuous governance” and “motherhood”, the events included keynote speeches, roundtable discussions, Mother’s Day celebrations, stage performances and launching ceremonies for a number of projects.
