Allergy doctor from Beijing named to regional council

Zhang Luo, director of Beijing Tongren Hospital, was elected as first vice-president of the new council of the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology recently.
Founded in 1989, the organization has broad academic representation in the Asia-Pacific region. Zhang is an academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, a distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and a leading scientific and technological innovation talent under the Ten Thousand Talent Program.
He has been focused on the research of pathogenesis, clinical diagnosis and treatment of chronic nasal diseases, including allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis.
