SEG Plaza skyscraper sealed off to probe vibration
To fully investigate the sources of the SEG Plaza skyscraper's vibration, the building has been sealed off since midnight on Friday, said a notice issued by Shenzhen Electronics Group Co Ltd on Thursday.
"Property owners, merchants and tenants are not allowed to access the building. After the completion of the inspection work, the building will be reopened in order. People will be notified of any relevant matters in later notifications," said the notice.
The 356-meter building had swayed every day from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon.
To date, no safety abnormalities were found in the main structure of the building or the surrounding environment. Its inner steel structure and decorative surface are in normal condition, according to local authorities.
