A concert marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Saudi Arabia was staged at the Forbidden City Concert Hall on Sept 3.

Under the baton of conductor Xia Xiaotang, the China Philharmonic Orchestra performed musical works, including Dance Music of Yao, which displays the Yao ethnic music, and Flying Fairies on The Silk Road, which is played by principal pipa player Zhao Cong of the China National Traditional Orchestra.

The concert will be screened on televisions of both countries from the end of September to early October.
