Classes in kindergartens, and primary and secondary schools will remain suspended through Monday, Hong Kong education authorities announced on Sunday.
The authorities said the move was made due to concerns over safety. "There are still some unstable factors, although public transport services across the city are gradually recovering," according to a notice released on Sunday.
Schools are expected to resume on Tuesday, if circumstances permit.
All schools in the Asian financial hub have been closed since Thursday.
