Yu Restaurant in Beijing

Sakuras, a Japanese tree, loom large in this Beijing restaurant, swaying outside and lining the tables inside, which are covered in the tree's petals.

This two-storey restaurant features four sections: the upper floor is for Japanese barbecue; the lower floor comprises a room for teppanyaki, a lounge bar and a dining room for creative kaiseki.

The teppanyaki room's decor pays tribute to cityscapes and landmarks from around the world.

The bar features a more abstract design, while the restaurant's food is made using fresh, internationally sourced ingredients using traditional Japanese cooking methods.
