Poverty relief work boosts counties in Shaanxi (III)

Editor's note: In recent years, Shaanxi province has been committed to poverty alleviation work and seen great achievement as a result.

Community factories close to the relocation site

Pingli county has set up 83 community factories in 30 migration resettlement communities among 11 townships. It drives villagers to work near their home. The total number of workers has reached 5,250.

A community factory, mainly producing socks, has begun 106 operations, of which 29 are reserved for poor households.

Poor households working here get a salary of more than 3,000 yuan per month. The salary is enough to cover daily expenses for women and the elderly.

This factory mainly sells socks to Europe and Southeast Asia.

The headquarters of the community factories mainly produces electronic products, such as toys. Those products are sold to Europe, the US and Canada.
