Poverty relief work boosts counties in Shaanxi (III)
Internet industrial park fuels broader markets
The Internet industry park offers a broader market for villagers to sell agricultural products. It develops online sales on Taobao and helps create featured brands to enhance product standing.
Staff members visit poor households and collect their agricultural products at a reasonable price. They then process and pack these products for online sales.
The Internet industry office also trains e-commerce staff. Poor households can get free training here and afterward get a full-time job in fields like customer service.
Some are responsible for live broadcasting on Taobao to sell agaric mushrooms, among other products.
In two years the e-commerce center of Hanbin district has reached 500 million in sales volume, and 100,000 poor villagers has seen their lives improve.
