URKL robot combat city tour debuts in Shanghai's Baoshan district

The first stop of the Ultimate Robot Knock-out Legend robot combat city tour kicked off at Shanghai Baoshan Sports Center on Saturday. Following its inaugural launch in Shenzhen in July, the tournament officially rolled out its national circuit, marking a further step in the commercialization of EngineAI's URKL.

At the event, multiple EngineAI T800 full-size humanoid robots engaged in intense rounds of combat. In the final three-robot showdown, the White Eagle and Golden Flash defeated the Matador team from the Shenzhen leg. New moves, including the kip-up, serpentine footwork and flying knee strike, made their competitive debut.

Unlike traditional remote-controlled competitions, the robots operated fully autonomously throughout the matches: they navigated into the octagon independently, recognized opponents' postures in real time, predicted movement trajectories, dynamically assigned offensive and defensive roles and optimized fighting strategies, completing an end-to-end AI closed loop from perception and situation assessment to action execution.
