Phoenix TV holds awards event to recognize top achievers

The winners for sports field included Zhang Shuai, the 2019 Australian Open Women’s Doubles champion and 70-year-old Xia Boyu, a double amputee mountaineer who made history by climbing Qomolangma last year.

Thanks to their respective wins for best actor and best actress for Song Long, My Son at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival, Wang Jingchun and Yong Mei, alongside the film's director Wang Xiaoshuai shared the award in the culture and art field.

Liang Zhibin, a then 19-year-old winner of China’s first Bricklaying gold medal at WorldSkills Competition 2017, was awarded the “Star of Hope” at the event.
