Ministry of Culture and Tourism conference focuses on external affairs

Overseas institutions have been constructed effectively. "Up to 2018, 37 China cultural centers and 20 tourist offices have been established overseas," said Luo.

He also said that positive results of international industrial cooperation are being felt, while work on Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan affairs has been solid.

This has all contributed to deepening the understanding of Chinese culture across the world.

The meeting pointed out that 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and a key year in securing a decisive victory in the first 100-year goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

Delegates from embassies and consulates abroad, China cultural centers, tourist offices, the Mission of China to the European Union, institutions in Hong Kong and Macao, provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, cities with independent planning, National Cultural Heritage Administration, departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and directly affiliated units participated in the meeting.
