Chinese athletes working hard for 2022 Olympics
Chinese athletes have a strong determination to qualify for all events to be held at the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022, a senior official said Monday on the sidelines of the ongoing National People's Congress.
Gou Zhongwen, director of China's General Administration of Sport, said though the results from Chinese delegation achieved in the Pyeongchang Olympics Games were not satisfactory, they will never give up the effort.
"To participate in all the sports in the Beijing Winter Olympics is not an easy goal to achieve," he said. "However, our athletes will train with full effort in the next four years. We have seen some breakthrough in the Pyeongchang Olympics...and through international communication, we got our confidence."
Gou also said Beijing is working hard preparing for a green, open and clean Winter Olympic Games in 2022.
