Baigou town in Hebei province will hold a culture festival featuring lantern displays and traditional folk art from Feb 8 to March 18.

Hosted by Baigou management committee, the festival aims to remind people of Spring Festival traditions.

"Baigou is also awash in history," says Shi Jinwen, member of organizing committee.

Lanterns shaped like jellyfish, flowers, fairies and travel suitcases will be presented at the event.

History-based quizzes and games, such as pitch-pot and Sudoku, will also be held at the festival, and local snacks will be available.

Meanwhile, the local museum will open to the public for free.
