The Sunrise Kempinski's latest menu offering is a challenge for big eaters: a coil of top-quality sausage that measures 9 meters in length. (For comparison, basketball superstar Yao Ming is 2.26 meters tall.) The sharable ground pork feast comes with sides of mashed potatoes and the inevitable but delicious German sauerkraut and fresh Paulaner beer for 688 yuan ($99). The dish was created in honor of the hotel chain's global celebration of its 120th birthday, marked on April 11. Try it this month and you'll also get a taste of the hotel's caramel-and-pretzel birthday cake.
