Teams compete for baseball championship in Zhongshan

Chinese Taipei, China, Japan and South Korea have entered the semi-finals of the 9th Asian U12 Baseball Championship, a major international event promoting the sport among young people.

The championship, a major flagship event of the Baseball Federation of Asia, is being held in Zhongshan, Guangdong province, attracting about 150 young players from eight countries and regions.

Chinese Taipei, China, Japan and South Korea won games over rivals Indonesia, Hong Kong, Pakistan and the Philippines, respectively, on Sunday.

The championship final, which is held every two years, will be on Tuesday.
