It's all teamwork

Acer is celebrating its successful 2012 Olympic campaign and the breakthrough that Chinese swimming achieved with its support.

As the exclusive IT sponsor of the Chinese swim team, Acer has provided product and financial support since the launch of their official partnership in July 2011.

The world's leading laptop PC producer was thrilled by the team's sharp improvement in London, stressing the company shared the same values in pursuit of elite performance.

"We chose to cooperate with the swimming team because we share the same character of competing for breakthroughs and we felt excited to witness that we both made it during the Olympics," Scott Lin, Acer's global senior vice-president and Greater China president, said during the commendation event in Huangshan, Anhui province on Tuesday.

Acer provided 1,100 servers, 8,000 desktop PCs, 3,500 laptops and 350 technicians during the 19-day period to support the London Olympics' operation in data analysis, information collection and results presentation. It has also showed a positive social image, working with the Ying Guang Education Foundation since 2011 to donate IT products and build computer classrooms for more than 50 hope schools in underprivileged areas across China.
