Georgiana Boboc

My name is Georgiana Bobocand I am a Masters student at China Foreign Affairs University. I come from Romania where I finished my Bachelor degree in International Relations and European Studies, and afterwards I decided to continue my studies in China. I came to Beijing in 2014 and I took Chinese classes for two years, the first year at BLCU and the second year at Renmin University. Currently I am doing my Masters studies in International Relations.

I am particularly interested in geopolitical studies regarding China, the USA and the European Union, as well as history and social sciences. At the moment I am doing an internship at the Romanian Embassy in China and I am also write articles for the The Romanian Institute for the Study of the Asia-Pacific.

I have also a deep admiration for Asian culture, which is one of the main reasons I chose to come to China. I have always been fascinated by Chinese language with its complex history and development and one of my favorite cultural activity in China is calligraphy.

Apart from my interaction with Chinese culture and language, life in China has also meant a whole new international experience which has had a great impact on me. I have met people from all over the world and made friends with people from different backgrounds and that is one of the advantages of life in China as an international student.
