Should students get paid for good grades?

No you don't pay students to study. If you want to reward them for getting good grades that is different, but if you do that, then there should also be consequences for bad grades. That's kind of how the real world of private sector employment functions. Those that perform above average are rewarded. Those that remain average do not and those below average may face repercussions.
