Should first aid be taught in schools?

First aid is taught to everyone in Finland. First time in grade nine, then in high school or vocational school, for all fit men in the army and even in some work places (one day course per 5 years). Everyone should know how to act if they see a person who cannot breath, on fire or has water in lungs.
