BEIJING -- China on Saturday urged the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to abide by the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and halt any moves that could escalate the tension on the Korean Peninsula.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang made the remarks in response to the reports that the DPRK on Saturday confirmed the test firing of the second "Hwasong-14" intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Friday.
