Military commands should take quick and appropriate measures to avoid negative social effects when soldiers had disputes with local governments or civilians, according to a newly-revised regulation.

The People's Liberation Army Garrison Ordinance, to be enacted on Oct 1, rules that military commands should cooperate with relevant departments to resolve the conflicts when military personnel had disputes with civilians, according to a report in the PLA Daily.

The stipulations were to regulate military personnel's work and behavior and protect the image of the army, the military authority said.
