Fraudulent point deductions banned in Guangdong

Police in Guangdong province will hold people responsible for omitting penalty points for drivers violating traffic laws and regulations, according to the Southern Metropolis Daily in Guangzhou, the provincial capital.

According to Chinese traffic law and regulations, a driver has a maximum of 12 points each year. Drivers who violate traffic laws and regulations and have all 12 points deducted within a year will be barred from driving a vehicle for a year and must sit for an examination pertaining to traffic laws and regulations.
