Chinese VP meets with Ugandan PM

BEIJING - Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with Uganda's Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi on Tuesday.

Li said China and Uganda face great opportunities for reciprocal cooperation, and China is willing to cement political trust and expand cooperation with Uganda to turn their potential for cooperation into substantial results.

Mbabazi is also secretary general of Uganda's ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Li said he hopes the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the NRM will increase exchanges to share their governance experiences and realize common prosperity.

Mbabazi said he looks forward to more practical cooperation between the two countries as well as the two parties.
