March 21, 1948: To achieve victory in the Liberation War, Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Ren Bishi head the leading organs of the CPCC Central Committee from Yangjiagou village in Mizhi county in northern Shaanxi and cross the Yellow River eastward

March 21—31, 1955: The National Conference of the Communist Party of China is held in Beijing

Mao Zedong made a speech at the meeting, proposing to catch up economically with the most powerful capitalist countries of the previous decades.
