Feb 13, 1988: Strengthening and improving the Party's work

On Feb 13, 1988, the CPC Central Committee approved and issued the notice on "suggestions on strengthening and improving the Party's work in the central party and government organs". The document was crafted by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Committee of Departments under the CPC Central Committee and CPC Central Committee of State Organs. The notice decided to rename the Committee of Departments under the CPC Central Committee and Committee of CPC Central Committee State Organs as the Work Committee of Departments under the CPC Central Committee and Work Committee of State Organs of the CPC Central Committee, respectively. They were both considered central agencies.

Feb 13, 1993: Education reform and development

On Feb 13, 1993, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued a document called the "China Reform and Development Program". This document stated that by the end of 20th century, China should basically implement nine years of compulsory education and eliminate illiteracy, improving the quality of education.

Feb 13, 2006: Revitalization of the equipment manufacturing industry

On Feb 13, 2006, the State Council issued "several comments on speeding up the revitalization of the equipment manufacturing industry". The comments called reinvigorating the equipment manufacturing industry as a part of a strategic initiative to establish and implement the scientific outlook on development, and realize the sustainable development of the national economy.
