BEIJING - Hyundai Motor Group (China) Ltd will start recalling some of its imported Veracruz cars on Nov 18, China's quality watchdog said on Thursday.
The recall will involve 15,373 vehicles produced between Jan 8, 2007 and March 12, 2013 and sold to the Chinese mainland, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in an online statement.
The defects may cause oil leakages and problems with engines, it said.
The manufacturers will offer free checks and replace the defective parts in the recalled cars.
Hyundai Motor Group (China) Ltd is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, a leading car producer in the Republic of Korea.
