Texhong invests in industrial park in northern Vietnam

HANOI - Texhong Textile Group Ltd on Saturday held a groundbreaking ceremony for its project to build infrastructure for an industrial park in Vietnam's northern Quang Ninh province.

The Texhong Hai Ha industrial park is part of the Mong Cai border gate economic zone in the province, some 120 km east of capital Hanoi.

The project is set to cover an area of some 660 hectares with an investment of around 4.52 trillion Vietnamese dong ($213 million).

This is the project covering the largest area compared to other industrial parks in the province with 100-percent foreign investment, the authority of Quang Ninh province said on its website on Saturday.

Speaking at the ceremony, chairman of Quang Ninh provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Doc said Quang Ninh province considers Texhong a strategic investor in the province and the two sides have reached consensus on specific cooperation program till 2020.
