Government of Rong'an county, Liuzhou city in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, encourages farmers to process bamboo and not to cut down tress to make a living and to protect the environment.

Sheets, trash bins and gift boxes made from bamboo are sold as far as Southeast Asian countries. Bamboo-related output in Rong'an county in the first half year reached 490 million yuan ($79.84 million).
