China's Su reaches 100m final

BEIJING - Chinese Su Bingtian clocked 9.99 seconds to reach the men's 100m final at the world athletics championships here on Sunday. Su is the first ever Asian in a world championships 100m final.

The Chinese will compete in the nine-sprinter final at 21:15 local time, which also includes Usain Bolt, Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell.

Su jumped to fame with a 9.99 in the Eugene Grand Prix on May 30.
