The Song of Karamay, a huge realistic oil painting by local artist Fu Jianfeng, is nearly completed. It depicts the beautiful scenery and urban construction of the Karamay city, local media reported on April 20.

The painting measures more than five meters high and almost 2.5 meters across. Landmark buildings and famous local scenic spots are included in the painting, such as the Karamay River, the World Ghost City, and the spectacular view of endless oil fields.

The painting is expected to hang in the Karamay Room of the Xinjiang People’s Hall, which is located in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, to provide a new look of Karamay to visitors from all over the world.
