Silk Road Economic Belt– Xinjiang Karamay Forum to kick off

The Silk Road Economic Belt–Xinjiang Karamay Forum, also known as the Davos Forum in West China, is held in Karamay city in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on Aug 9-11

The government of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences jointly support the forum.

Around 500 leading figures from the Chinese, Pakistani and Kazakhstan governments, enterprises and think-tanks will gather to discuss international cooperation.

The forum will be themed on “discussing, jointly constructing and sharing–for regional cooperation and industry development” and will aim to build a communication bridge for South and Central Asia and Europe.

It will contain seven sub-forums discussing infrastructure construction, energy cooperation, manufacturing, and cultural and information industries.
