Karamay doctor strikes academic achievement in Nature

Zhu Min, deputy director of the Pathology Department at the Karamay Central Hospital, published a medical paper in Nature, a world-famous medical journal, the Karamay Daily reported.

This was the first time that a Karamay doctor published an academic paper as the first writer in this journal, in a remarkable achievement and positive step forward for the city's medical research field.

The paper is entitled Neural tube opening and abnormal extraembryonic membrane development in SEC23A deficient mice, which studies the functions of the gene SEC23A in the development of an individual organism and in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The research topic in question had rarely been studied in the global medical circles before.

Nature is one of the most authoritative science journals in the world is known to publish important discoveries and major breakthroughs in science all over the world. It is of considerable importance to all scholars in the science field if their research findings gain the journal's recognition.
