Karamay Petrochemical Park has a huge area of 6,400 hectares. Walking in the park is like entering a scenic garden.

The park invested 2.8 billion yuan ($436 million) in infrastructure by the end of 2014. More than 70 percent of the park is complete with basic conditions for large businesses and projects.

Karamay Petrochemical Park is an important industry park for the autonomous region.

The park is divided into eight functional areas for oil refining, manufacturing, and related areas.

A total of 126 enterprises have settled in the park, accounting for more than half of the city's total high-tech enterprises. The companies, which mainly deal in petrochemicals, technical services and manufacturing, have received more than 13 billion yuan of investment funds.

Several large machinery manufacturers have settled in the park, covering drilling, petrochemicals, transportation equipment Karamay’s manufacturing research and development capacity has improved significantly.

Notably, 18 enterprises have settled in the park. Some of them enterprises have been put into production, some are ready for production, and others are still under construction.

The construction of the petrochemical industry park is an important measure for the transformation of Karamay, and for promoting the petrochemical industry.
