Part Three: Song Dynasty (960-1279)

Drinking tea got thrived the most during the Song Dynasty and tea had become one of the daily necessities for people in the dynasty.

Tea shops and tea houses could be spotted everywhere and there were also varieties of tea soups. They primarily used ceramic for tea wares during the period.

A new drinking tea method was popular among rich people: tea fight. It is a kind of competition where fighters show and boil their fine tea leaves; then taste the tea in turns; and finally choose the best.
